I am highly educated singer and singing teacher. With a passion for various genres of music, I am able to offer a diverse and personalized experience to my audience and to my students.

My core values are centered around helping others shine! In my previous job, I coached people in customer service and sales, witnessing their personal growth. As a singing teacher, I continue this coaching approach and find joy in my students' successes.

Music has always been a passion of mine —whether singing, playing, or dancing. When my health collapsed some years ago, music became even more essential, leading me to pursue a career as a singer and a singing teacher. Well-being is crucial to my life, especially living with chronic conditions. I focus on maintaining a positive mindset, balancing work and leisure, personal growth, and healthy living.

Singing Lessons at Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences

Singing lessons help you to improve your vocal abilities and reach your full potential as a singer. With a focus on technique, different music styles and expression, singing lessons aim to help students develop a strong and versatile instrument, that is their own bodies and voices. You can either be majoring in singing or you can be a minor singing student. We build your path towards healthy and versatile singing together, individually.

I am dedicated to constantly learning and improving myself as a singer and a teacher, and I am excited to pass on my knowledge and experience to the next generation of singing teachers.

Private Singing Lessons Available 

I am passionate about sharing my love for singing with my students and helping them develop their own unique voices. Whether it's through teaching at the university level or providing private lessons, my goal is to help aspiring singers reach their full potential and explore the world of music in all its diversity. 

Private lessons are for beginners and for experts. My lessons suit you, if you want to sing with good vocal health, if singing doesn't feel good and it causes fatique, if you want to learn more about singing, if you are practising for an audition of a music school, theater, competition etc. In addition to auditions I have experience in singing competitions, such as The Voice of Finland, Talent Suomi, Tangomarkkinat and Laila and Olavi singing competition.

Vocalist & Performer

I create music under the stage name Hanne. I released my first single in Finnish, Vaienneen joululaulu, in December 2024. I am the composer, lyricist, arranger and producer of the song. You can listen to my debut e.g. from YouTube.

I perform with my husband in a vocal and acoustic guitar duo called Duo Wirta. Our repertoire includes both domestic and foreign music; pop, rock, soul, etc. Diversity is our key element.

We perform mostly at private events but sometimes you can find us from a local bar or restaurant. We also love to perform for the elderly in nursing homes with a repertoire suitable for them: waltz, tango, foxtrot and evergreens.

Depending on your occasion, we can perform a variety of music either to listen to or to dance to.

Laulamisen ABC -mobile app (in Finnish)

I have developed an application for practicing vocal technique regardless of time and place. Laulamisen ABC (The ABC of Singing) contains a lot of information and exercises to practice singing technique. The app is suitable for independent use as well as alongside singing lessons. 

Laulamisen ABC application works both in an Internet browser and on mobile devices.
